Shift Superintendent Position Overview We are seeking a hands-on Production Team Lead to support daily manufacturing operations within a fast-paced production environment. This position will help coordinate production employees, monitor workflow, and ensure the team consistently meets safety, quality, productivity, and production goals . The ideal candidate will have previous manufacturing experience, preferably within the corrugated packaging, box manufacturing, or converting industry , and be comfortable working around production equipment such as flexo folder gluers, die-cutters, corrugators, and related converting machinery . This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced production employee, machine operator, lead, or converting professional who is ready to take on additional leadership responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Coordinate daily workflow on corrugator and/or converting lines to support production schedules and output goals. Provide day-to-day direction and guidance to production team members. Reinforce standard operating procedures and established production processes. Promote and enforce OSHA requirements, plant safety policies, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and proper PPE usage . Monitor corrugated sheets and finished boxes for defects, dimensional accuracy, print quality, and structural integrity. Monitor machine performance and identify potential mechanical or production issues. Communicate equipment concerns and partner with maintenance to minimize downtime. Read and interpret work orders, production specifications, dimensions, and measurements . Monitor line speed, average feeds per hour, throughput, and overall shift productivity. Track setup and changeover times between production orders to improve efficiency. Record downtime, scrap, production output, setup activity, and other required production metrics. Help identify recurring production issues and support corrective actions and continuous improvement efforts. Troubleshoot day-to-day production-floor issues and escalate safety, quality, or equipment concerns when necessary. Provide clear shift updates regarding production performance, downtime, quality issues, and other operational concerns to production leadership. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 1-3 years of manufacturing experience required. Previous experience in a corrugated packaging, corrugated box, or converting environment is strongly preferred . Experience operating or supporting flexo folder gluers, die-cutters, corrugators, or other converting equipment is preferred. Previous Team Lead, Lead Operator, Machine Lead, or similar leadership experience is a plus. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and communicate production or equipment issues. Ability to read and understand work orders, production specifications, and measurements. Working knowledge of manufacturing safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) . Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and product quality. Ability to effectively guide employees, delegate tasks, and support production-floor problem solving. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors such as work location, job-related skills, qualifications, experience, responsibilities, and relevant education and training.
