Yuma, AZ Job Details Full-time $20.25 an hour 6 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Vision insurance 401(k) matching Qualifications English Forklift High school diploma or GED Material handling equipment operation Full Job Description Nunes Cooling, Inc. has an immediate full-time position for a Production Helper in our Yuma, AZ location. The Production Helper is responsible for overall cleanliness of the facility, operates a forklift and loads and unloads pallets and stores material in the warehouse.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following as well as other duties and responsibilities, which may be assigned. Assists in shipping and receiving procedures for all incoming and outgoing product. Works in and out of the cold rooms, yards and other areas as needed for extended periods of time. Unloads pallets and products from line and field trucks. Assists in any shipping, inventory, staging and warehousing procedures. Applies all stacking patterns for various size cases and stacking procedures for all product. Follows all safety procedures in the warehouse, dock area, and battery changing area. Monitors and changes out forklift batteries as necessary. Unloads product for storage or shipment. Conducts regular inspections of forklifts to ensure safety and ability to perform operations. Reports forklift maintenance issues/error codes and fills out inspection sheets. Loads empty pallets on to field trucks. Maintains all equipment and work areas in a clean and safe manner. Ensures the security of company's proprietary and confidential information and material. Cleans warehouse with hand brooms, power scrubbers, sweepers and vacuum cleaners to meet company standards Keeps company grounds free of litter and debris Works safely, complies with OSHA and Food Safety standards and reports any hazards to shift supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED Minimum 6 months' experience operating a forklift.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Displays excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, and updates, complete paperwork and follow verbal instructions). Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Self-directed and team oriented. Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the company. Consistently demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness and dependability. Maintains positive, professional attitude and work environment. Follows Company policies and practices while representing company in an ethical and business-like manner in all interactions with employees, government agencies, growers, customers, etc.

Employees in all warehouse positions must be able to immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells, alarms, and horns that are used to warn employees of the startup, movement, or approach of equipment (including forklifts, conveyors, trucks, and other equipment operated inside or outside the warehouse), mechanical abnormalities, and similar risk situations during warehouse operations.

The work environment is both indoors outdoors in a typical cooler setting. Temperatures in the cooler are 32-34 degrees F.
