Summary We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and hardworking Bakery Production Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with the daily preparation and production of baked goods, including preparing workstations, assembling and filling pastries, operating commercial baking equipment, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and supporting efficient kitchen operations. Responsibilities Assist with the preparation of baked goods by measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients, chopping fruits, and restocking supplies. Prepare and line baking sheets and pans, set up piping bags, and decorate finished products. Monitor and operate commercial baking equipment, including ovens, proofers, and warmers, in accordance with safety procedures. Follow recipes, portion-control standards, food-safety procedures, and product-presentation standards. Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by following proper food-handling and hygiene practices, using required personal protective equipment (PPE), washing tools, sanitizing surfaces, and keeping work areas clean, organized, and safe. Follow workplace safety procedures and report equipment, food-safety, or workplace hazards to management. Qualifications Prior experience in a bakery, commercial kitchen, or food-service environment preferred. Entry-level candidates with strong interest and aptitude are encouraged to apply. Basic understanding of food-safety and proper hygiene practices. Ability to follow detailed recipes, portion-control requirements, and visual presentation standards. Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work scheduled early-morning, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts as needed. Ability to work cooperatively with others in a fast-paced production environment. Physical Requirements Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including: Standing for extended periods of time. Bending, stooping, and reaching. Lifting and carrying items weighing up to 30 pounds when required by the job. Working safely around commercial baking equipment and high-heat environments.
