Job Description

Apply here: https://form.typeform.com/to/t2rStVC4 — takes about 8 minutes. We make food — powder blends for consumer brands, mixed and packed here in Arvada. Operator 1 is where everyone on our floor starts: you'd work with a small crew of 3-4, weighing ingredients, packing finished product, doing quality inspections, and learning the equipment. Pick your shift Morning — Mon-Thu, 5:00 AM-3:00 PM — $20/hr. 40 hours in four days, three-day weekend every week. Evening — Mon-Thu, 2:30 PM-12:30 AM — $22/hr. Own vehicle required — the shift ends at 12:30 AM, buses aren't running, and a ride you're not sure of won't work. Weekend — Fri-Sun, 6:00 AM-7:00 PM — $22/hr ($20 + $2 weekend differential). 39 hours in three days, four days off every week. Overtime after 12 hours a day. Pay and benefits (all shifts) $150/month health insurance stipend — added to your paycheck to help cover a plan on Connect for Health Colorado. We don't have a company health plan; this is how we help instead. It's paid as wages, so it's yours to use how you want. 401(k) with a company match up to 4% Quarterly profit share — our last one worked out to an extra $2-3 per hour for everyone Breaks and meals are paid What an Operator 1 does Weighs raw ingredients against the batch record — often to the gram Loads the mixer: carrying 25 kg (55 lb) bags up a 4-step platform Runs blends and works the line alongside the Operator 2s Quality-checks finished product before it goes in the case Packs, inspects and palletizes — this is where most of the shift goes. Cases off the end of the line, checked, stacked, wrapped Keeps an accurate run count of how many units came off the line Breaks down, cleans and sanitizes equipment at every changeover (see below) Where it goes: Operator 1 → Operator 2 → Shift Lead / Supervisor Operator 2 — sets up and runs the equipment (mixer, filler, sealer), handles changeovers, and trains new Operator 1s. Shift Lead / Supervisor — runs the crew for the shift: batch records, allergen sign-offs, schedule, quality calls. Our Operator 2s and leads all started as Operator 1s. You move up by showing up every day, getting the numbers right, and learning the equipment. The honest part You'll be on your feet most of a 10-hour shift (13 on weekends) and repeatedly lifting up to 55 lbs. It's a food plant: hairnets, beard nets, handwashing, no jewelry, phones in a locker in the break room. Be on time — the whole crew waits otherwise. You need to read and follow written instructions and spoken directions in English. Batch records, allergen steps, safety instructions and all training are in English. About the cleaning — read this part twice There is a lot of it, and it isn't the wipe-down-at-close kind. We run egg, milk, soy, sesame, tree nut and fish ingredients, so when we change products the equipment comes apart — mixer, hopper, filler, scales — gets cleaned, inspected and signed off before we can run anything else. On a changeover day, cleaning can take your whole shift. The whole team cleans — no exceptions. If you read that and thought "fine, I'd rather work somewhere clean," you'll do well here. If your heart sank a little, this isn't the job — and we'd both rather find that out now than in week two. How we train On the job — you'll be shown and coached until it's right. No food production experience required; we can train someone with a good work ethic, attention to detail and a good attitude.
