Katia Designs is looking for a meticulous, hands-on professional to oversee jewelry quality control and assembly in our warehouse. We need someone who takes pride in inspecting every piece carefully, recognizes when something is wrong, and follows through until it is corrected. You'll work directly with jewelry and components while helping a small assembly team produce consistent, beautifully finished pieces. What you'll do Inspect incoming gemstones, chains, clasps, findings, and other components before they enter production. Inspect finished jewelry for appearance, correct components, secure connections, proper assembly, and consistency with approved samples. Identify defects such as damaged stones, mismatched components, uneven lengths, finish problems, and loose connections. Set aside defective materials, document problems, and ensure rejected pieces do not return to usable inventory. Return work for correction and reinspect it before releasing it to Shipping. Personally assemble jewelry and demonstrate correct techniques. Train and guide assembly employees using clear instructions, photographs, and hands-on demonstrations. Turn production priorities into daily assignments, verify component availability, and flag shortages early. Track completed quantities, quality issues, and production progress. Coordinate with the warehouse and shipping team to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards. Prepare photographic defect reports and help prevent recurring problems. What we're looking for Experience in jewelry assembly, jewelry inspection, or another field involving precise assembly and detailed quality control. Exceptional attention to small differences in color, finish, size, alignment, and construction. Patience and consistency when inspecting many similar items. Ability to handle small components and use appropriate assembly tools accurately. Strong organization, counting, and recordkeeping skills. Confidence to flag a quality concern and follow it through to resolution. Ability to explain corrections respectfully and train others to follow a consistent standard. Comfort using basic spreadsheets, taking clear photographs, and maintaining production records. Reliability, accountability, and the ability to work independently. Jewelry experience is strongly preferred. We also welcome applicants with relevant experience in precision assembly, accessories, watch repair, garment inspection, or similarly detailed work.
