English Aviation Full Job Description FAA Covered Role Summary/Purpose:
The Production Specialist is directly responsible for managing and providing support for the line while ensuring teams meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, Customer, and Cost objectives. This role will coach, develop, and empower line employees to performance levels that contribute to the achievement of plant and individual goals.
Essential Responsibilities:
Prioritizes and promotes health and safety and environmental compliance as a core value in everyday work leading to fewer incidents, injuries, and illnesses Proactively engages the workforce and resources to resolve concerns, prevent unsafe acts and conditions and maintain compliance to the EHS framework Leads/coordinates RCCAs regarding safety and quality incidents; coach/develop team to understand, capture defects and key drivers Execute Management of Change Process Coordination of quality support needed Support the implementation of preventative maintenance procedures Leads, coaches, mentors, and influences team to develop, empower and hold individuals and teams accountable to achieve business goals Understands daily output/production requirements and drives team to meet delivery goals Coach/develop team to ensure targets, constraints, capacities are understood Manages part throughput/owns production and drives team to meet goals Drives accountability of team regarding team efficiencies and individual efficiencies Daily Management Board accountability Drives for continuous business improvement and collaboratively uses lean and kaizen tools to drive productivity and producibility Utilizes adaptive communication, effective feedback and conflict resolution to create an engaged culture. Manpower, timecard & voucher management and accountability OJT planning and management All other duties assigned as required by product line (ie: chemical management, customer support and report out, etc.)
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing). At least 2 years of Aviation experience Qualified or eligible to qualify for a Repairman Certificate and/or A&P License per 14 CFR 145.153 Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English along with the ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of basic Math Ability to read/write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public Demonstrated ability to work with others in a team-based environment Must be able to work 2nd shift (Monday - Friday 2:30pm - 11:00pm) Desired Characteristics Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
