This role is designed for professionals who thrive in fast-paced manufacturing environments, enjoy solving operational challenges, and have a strong background in production control, scheduling, material coordination, and ERP/MRP systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in reducing work-order backlog, expediting critical production activities, supporting manufacturing operations across shifts when required, and ensuring accurate production planning data. Key Responsibilities Reduce work-order backlog by reviewing, updating, and closing aged, inactive, or stalled work orders. Resolve kitted-but-stalled material issues and support efficient movement of work through manufacturing operations. Expedite high-priority production jobs by identifying material shortages, kit requirements, and operational constraints. Coordinate with manufacturing, supply chain, planning, and support teams to remove production bottlenecks and prevent schedule delays. Provide support for off-shift manufacturing operations as needed, assisting with escalations and maintaining workflow continuity. Maintain ERP/MRP system accuracy through timely transaction processing and data validation. Communicate daily status updates regarding backlog reduction, critical production activities, and shift handoffs. Identify recurring constraints and process issues and escalate them to leadership for long-term resolution. Partner with Production Control teams to support assigned work centers and ensure schedule adherence. Sustain operational improvements and maintain data accuracy after backlog remediation objectives are achieved. Minimum Qualifications Experience in production control, manufacturing scheduling, expediting, material planning, or related manufacturing operations. Hands-on experience using ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Costpoint, Oracle, or similar platforms. Strong understanding of work-order management, production workflows, and manufacturing processes. Ability to work independently while managing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities. Flexibility to support overtime and alternate shift schedules when business needs require. Preferred Qualifications Experience with backlog remediation, production data cleanup, or manufacturing recovery initiatives. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Microsoft Project. Experience using Jira, issue-tracking systems, or workflow management tools. Familiarity with AI-enabled productivity and operational tools. Experience supporting both development and high-rate production manufacturing environments.
