C-Assembly Production - Line Leader

About the
Job:
The Line Leader manages the daily activities of the C-Assembly Production Department. That department is responsible for the efficient assembly of foam, corrugated containers and other components. The Line Leader supervises the assembly operation and works with department employees to ensure the accurate and timely execution of all activities of the department. A candidate for this managerial position must be detail oriented, organized, safety conscious, able to multi-task, meet deadlines and work well in a fast paced, high-growth environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise all assembly production in accordance with the schedule issued by the Production Coordinator. Coordinate and arrange equipment and employees on the assembly line. Assign, manage and assist employees with regard to specific duties, such as stapling, assembly, packing and wrapping product in accordance with Company procedures. Verify that C-Assembly materials meet quality standards. Refer to product specifications for staple quantity, corrugated box type, tray configuration and quantity. Ensure that all completed products are placed on a tray and wrapped with barcode labels and FIFO tags. Scan and input quantity for completed product. Complete and return corresponding paperwork to Production Coordinator. Confer and coordinate with other departments to resolve any material/inventory issues. Maintain production levels of material including staples, stretch wrap, tape, labels, trays and skids. Maintain clean and orderly production areas. Continually monitor and, where necessary, improve the flow and efficiency of production. Train personnel to keep them current on procedures and work instructions.
Skills and Competencies:
Must be able to follow written, oral instructions and be able to retain and carry out multiple work assignments Must be proficient in basic math skills, such as adding, subtracting, multiplication and division Must be knowledgeable in all phases of production including stapling, assembling, packing and wrapping Must be able to operate industrial equipment safely including a staple machine, stretch wrap machine, tape machine, box conveyor system and pallet jack Must be able to stand for entire shift and repeatedly push, pull, reach, bend, twist and stoop Must have experience using scan gun technology Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational and people skills Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
Minimum Education and Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required. 1 or more years of production experience within a manufacturing environment is required. Candidate must have experience in managing a team of at least 5 people. Candidate must be bilingual (English & Spanish).

Full-time Pay:
$17.00 - $18.50 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
