Production Support Job Description This role supports a manufacturing facility by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment on the production floor. You will focus on routine cleaning, sorting of production materials, and general labor tasks that help prevent hazards and support plant safety, operational efficiency, and compliance with housekeeping and safety standards. There are multiple openings available through the end of the year on a consistent third shift schedule. Responsibilities Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing environment across production areas. Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, wiping, and general janitorial duties in industrial spaces. Sort production materials and components to keep work areas orderly and free of unnecessary clutter. Support general production and general labor activities as needed to keep operations running smoothly. Identify and report potential fire risks, housekeeping deficiencies, and other safety concerns. Apply basic knowledge of combustible dust and fire prevention principles during cleaning and sorting activities. Assist with quality control by visually checking that cleaned and sorted areas meet housekeeping and safety standards. Follow workplace safety practices and company procedures at all times while working in the plant. Work reliably on a third shift schedule and support overtime needs, particularly on Fridays. Essential Skills Strong attention to detail and observation skills. Knowledge of workplace safety practices in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Ability to identify potential fire risks and housekeeping deficiencies. Basic understanding of combustible dust and fire prevention principles. Good organizational and material sorting skills. Ability to perform general labor, general production, and industrial cleaning tasks. Reliability in attending scheduled third shift hours and overtime when required. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in janitorial, industrial cleaner, or similar roles within a manufacturing environment. Comfort working with minimal supervision while following established procedures. Willingness to take on a variety of production support duties as needed. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in a non-temperature-controlled manufacturing facility, where conditions may be warm or cool depending on the season. You will work on a third shift schedule from 9:00 PM to 7:10 AM, Monday through Friday, with overtime commonly available on Fridays. The role involves working on the production floor around industrial equipment and materials, performing physical tasks such as sweeping, cleaning, and general labor in an industrial setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Glasgow, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
