Job Description

We are seeking dependable Machine Operators/Manufacturing Associates to set up, operate, and monitor equipment used to manufacture wire and cable products. This position may involve cabling or braiding machinery, including combining insulated conductors and applying braided shielding to finished products. Previous wire and cable experience is helpful but not required. Candidates with machine operating, production, textile, or general manufacturing experience are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and monitor cabling or braiding equipment Load conductors, fillers, binders, shielding materials, bobbins, and reels Thread and prepare machines according to production requirements Assist with start-ups, shutdowns, reel changes, and material changeovers Adjust machine settings such as line speed, tension, pitch, lay length, and take-up Monitor conductor alignment, braid coverage, cable diameter, and overall workmanship Correct minor production issues, including broken wires and tension problems Inspect finished materials for defects and dimensional variations Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment Complete production, quality, and material-tracking documentation Maintain material identification and traceability throughout production Perform routine equipment cleaning and basic preventive maintenance Keep the work area clean, safe, and organized Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience preferred but not required Wire and cable, textile, shielding, cabling, or braiding experience is a plus Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Ability to follow work orders, setup sheets, specifications, drawings, and instructions Basic math, computer, measuring, and data-entry skills Experience using calipers, micrometers, or gauges is a plus Ability to distinguish conductor and insulation colors Comfortable handling small wires and performing repetitive hand motions Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally push or pull heavier materials Dependable and willing to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, or holidays when required Apply today to be considered for this manufacturing opportunity. #
