Nunan Florist and Greenhouses, Inc. is seeking a dependable and hardworking Production Associate to join our greenhouse production team. This is a hands-on position responsible for assisting with the production, care, movement, and maintenance of plants throughout our greenhouse operation. The Production Associate will assist with transplanting, watering, crop maintenance, greenhouse preparation, loading and unloading plant material. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, working with plants, and being part of a team. Responsibilities Assist with the production and care of high-quality crops, including annuals, perennials, bedding plants, plugs, and other plant material. Transplant, move, space, organize, and prepare plant material throughout the production process. Water plants and assist with maintaining proper irrigation based on crop needs. Monitor plants for general health and report signs of pests, disease, watering issues, or other concerns to the Head Grower. Assist with greenhouse preparation for incoming and upcoming crops. Load and unload delivery trucks and assist with moving plants, supplies, soil, and other materials. Assist with receiving, organizing, and maintaining production inventory. Assist with troubleshooting irrigation problems and performing minor repairs or adjustments to maintain proper water flow and distribution. Clean and sanitize greenhouse areas, workspaces, tools, equipment, and production areas. Perform general maintenance to keep greenhouse and production areas clean, organized, and safe. Follow all company safety procedures and properly use tools and equipment. Assist with pesticide, biological control, fertilizer, and plant growth regulator applications when properly trained, licensed, or otherwise authorized to do so. Work on daily work plans cooperatively with team members to complete production needs. Qualifications Willingness to learn greenhouse production, plant care, and watering. Ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a team. Dependable, hardworking, and willing to take on a variety of tasks. Good attention to detail and ability to recognize and report problems. Physical & Work Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, and pull. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Comfortable working in a greenhouse environment that may be hot, humid, wet, or cold depending on the season. Must be available 1 weekend day Due to the seasonal nature of our business, additional hours and extended schedules may be required during peak seasons, particularly during the spring and holiday seasons.

Pay:

$18.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
