All critical engineering and production stages, such as process and automation engineering, quality and project management, welding and assembly, FAT testing, site commissioning, SAT testing and aftersales support are part of the full package provided by BWT. BWT Pharma and Biotech Inc, a leader in supplying turnkey water services for leading pharmaceutical companies in North America is currently seeking a Shop Assistant. A shop assistant supports daily manufacturing operations by maintaining clean workspaces and assisting skilled tradespeople with assembly and equipment handling.

Job Functions:
Shop Organization:

Keep the shop floor clean, safe, and organized by clearing debris and putting away tools or leftover supplies.

Shipping:

help prepare & package finished products for transport to include building custom pallets and using appropriate tools in a safe manner.

Production Support:

Hold, clamp, or position components for fabricators, and learn to operate basic shop tools or machinery under supervision.

Factory Acceptance Testing Support:

Adhere to test procedures inspecting products to meet customer specifications.

Material Preparation:

Measure, cut, grind, deburr, and clean raw metals or other stock components before assembly and welding.

Qualifications:

Safety Mindset:

Willingness to follow factory safety rules and wear required protective gear.

Education:

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Physical Stamina:

Ability to stand and walk for long shifts and routinely lift up to 50 pounds.

Work Ethic:

Strong reliability, punctuality, and a willingness to follow safety protocols.

Mechanical Aptitude:

Basic interest in learning tool operation, tape-measure reading, and metalworking techniques

Certification:

Forklift certification or willingness to complete on-site training to earn an operator card.

Personal Attributes:
