We are seeking a Production Team Lead who leads by example, develops the people around them, and keeps work moving on the floor every day. Job Summary The Production Team Lead is a working lead who directs the daily work of a production team while contributing hands-on to production. This role spends approximately 70 percent of the shift leading the team and 30 percent working in production. The Team Lead keeps work moving to schedule, trains team members, maintains quality and safety standards, and communicates issues before they become delays. Key Responsibilities Distribute daily work orders to the team and assign tasks to meet the production schedule. Work hands-on in production as needed and step in wherever flow requires. Train team members on tasks, methods, and quality standards; support onboarding of new employees. Maintain a skills matrix tracking each team member's trained tasks, and actively drive cross-training within and across departments to build a flexible workforce. Ensure quality at the source through in-process checks, correcting issues before work moves to the next department. Track daily output against the schedule and communicate delays or issues to the Production Supervisor promptly. Solve production problems on the floor and escalate when needed. Ensure team members are present, on time, and productive; assist in verifying team timecards weekly. Enforce safety standards and model safe work practices. Collaborate with other Team Leads to keep work flowing between departments. Keep the work area clean, organized, and ready for production. Other duties and projects as assigned. Required Experience, Education, Skills, and Competencies High school diploma or GED. Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience. Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred. Ability to read and follow work orders, drawings, and specifications. Basic computer skills. Ability to train others and give clear direction. Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to act without waiting to be told. Ability to read, write, and speak English; bilingual English/Spanish a plus. Available to work overtime as needed. Physical Requirements Mobility to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, bend, twist, and reach chest high and overhead for materials. Ability to stand and/or walk for approximately 90 percent of the shift. Ability to lift, move, or pull 10-50 lbs occasionally throughout the day. Ability to hear adequately on the phone, in person, and in group settings in a manufacturing environment. Close visual acuity, color vision, and depth perception. Use of hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate standard tools and equipment.
