Print Production Specialist
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Print Production Specialist to support print production, document services, and order intake operations in a professional office environment in Towson, MD. Key Responsibilities
Review incoming print requests for completeness, accuracy, file readiness, job specifications, quantities, deadlines, and delivery details.
Perform basic prepress tasks, including file review, setup, formatting, corrections, and identification of artwork or production issues.
Communicate with customers regarding order details, missing files, revised artwork, job status, deadlines, and production requirements.
Operate and support digital print, copier, scanning, finishing, binding, and document production equipment.
Coordinate with production staff to prioritize jobs, monitor progress, prevent delays, and ensure timely order fulfillment.
Perform quality control checks, maintain job records, troubleshoot basic equipment issues, and support inventory and office-service activities as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
Pay Rate:
$21 per hour.
Job Type:
Temp-to-Hire.
Contract Length:
4+ months, temp-to-engage.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Hours:
40 hours per week.
Location:
Towson, MD 21286.

Required Qualifications and Skills
Manage print order intake, job review, file preparation, and production coordination.
Support digital print production, copying, scanning, finishing, binding, and document services.
Communicate with customers and production teams to resolve file, order, deadline, and production questions.
Perform quality checks and help ensure completed work meets accuracy, formatting, and production standards.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 3 years of related experience required.
Experience in print production, print operations, document services, customer service, or a related field.
Knowledge of print processes, file preparation, basic prepress workflows, and production requirements.
Experience using Microsoft Office applications and online ordering or workflow management systems.
Ability to operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot office equipment and complex print-production equipment.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify formatting, file, artwork, and production issues.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer service mindset.
Ability to prioritize multiple print requests, manage deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
Strong organizational skills, problem-solving ability, and professional demeanor.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and interpret technical information, data, and job requirements.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and carry as needed, including occasional lifting of items up to 70 lbs. Preferred Qualifications
5 years of related print production, print services, document services, or customer-facing production experience preferred.
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite applications, especially Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
Experience with prepress, digital print equipment, order intake, file preparation, and production workflow systems.
Prior experience supporting copy center, mailroom, conference room, or onsite office-service operations.
