WSC Staffing is hiring a dependable Production Associate for an established manufacturing company in Howell. This is a hands-on, temp-to-hire opportunity offering cross-training, equipment experience, and the potential to build a long-term career with the company. The selected candidate will initially work as a floater, primarily wrapping stacks of corrosion-prevention paper in preparation for shipment. As you learn the operation, you may be trained on the company's rewinder, sheeter, guillotine, and liquid-filling processes. What You'll Do Wrap and prepare finished products for shipment Review production orders for accuracy Process and package orders according to required specifications Assist with material movement and forklift operation Maintain a clean and organized work area Help with monthly inventory Assist with preventive maintenance on equipment Cross-train in different areas of the plant Follow all company safety and quality procedures What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent Previous production, packaging, warehouse, or material-handling experience Hi-Lo or forklift experience is preferred Ability to accurately read a tape measure Basic math skills, including fractions and decimals Ability to regularly lift approximately 40 pounds Ability to stand, bend, reach, and move throughout the facility Willingness to learn different production processes Ability to work independently with minimal direction Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays based on workload Basic familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel This Production Associate position is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, wants to learn manufacturing equipment, and is looking for a path to permanent employment.
