Manthei Wood Products is seeking dependable and motivated Manufacturing Production Technicians - 1st Shift to join our production team. This role plays an important part in producing high-quality hardwood veneer and plywood products by performing a variety of hands-on production duties, including machine operation, material handling, inspection, and sorting. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-focused, detail-oriented, and enjoys working with their hands as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a full-time 1st shift position, Monday - Thursday, 5:00 am - 3:00 pm . Overtime opportunities may be available on Fridays and Saturdays based on production needs. What You'll Do Perform a variety of hands-on production duties to support the manufacturing of hardwood veneer and plywood products Work on production lines while maintaining consistent speed, accuracy, and quality Operate production machinery and equipment safely and correctly Inspect, sort, and handle wood materials throughout the production process Ensure production requirements and quality standards are consistently met Identify and communicate quality concerns or production issues Work efficiently to improve productivity without compromising quality or safety Properly care for equipment and report maintenance or equipment concerns Work collaboratively with other production team members to meet daily production goals Maintain a clean and organized work area Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude Attendance is a necessary job function Follow all company safety procedures and immediately report safety concerns Cross-train and perform other production-related duties as needed What We're Looking For Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic Ability to work effectively as part of a production team Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Willingness to learn and operate different production machinery and equipment Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to follow instructions, production standards, and safety procedures Ability to regularly lift approximately 25-50 pounds Ability to stand and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods Vision necessary to inspect materials and read labels Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred but not required
