Essential Functions

• Pushing and pulling pallets.
• Handling of packaging materials.
• Provides assistance as directed by leads and/or supervisors for repackaging and reworking product.
• Verifies codes dates, sealing, product weight, and product appearance is within specified parameters and conforms to clients expectations.
• Coordinate the product orders with Leads and Supervisors assuring that all orders are completed according to schedule.
• Create tags according to work instructions.
• Be prepared to cover other positions when requested by a Lead or Supervisor.
• Performs visual inspection of product ensuring quality is acceptable.
• Keeps work area clean. Perform cleaning of area assigned.
• Assists in the training of new personnel.
• Provides suggestions to improve process, procedures and department in support of company goals
• Follows Company, GMP and Safety policies including LOTO policies to ensure compliance with the HACCP program and AIB gold standard.
• Follows all food safety principles and legal requirements
• Maintains a positive and constructive work environment within the department as well as with other departments and promotes teamwork.
• Works in a safe manner, observing all safety requirements.
• Participates in monthly departmental meetings including quality and safety.
• Must work various shifts and hours including holidays and weekends including overtime if necessary.
• Other duties, as assigned.
