Chart Industries Ensuring Chart's Success… Chart's New Prague, MN location is currently seeking candidates interested in our General Laborer position on our day shift. Thisposition plays a key role in the manufacturing process of Chart's products and is primarily responsiblefor blasting, grinding and assisting department welders in performing various tank assembly functions. What Will You Do? Operating cranes,forklifts and manlifts. Blast and grind plate for internal customers Applying logos and decals to vessels Help prepare vessels for hydro testing (positioning, filling with water, pressurizing & liquid penetrate testing) Maintain required production and inspection records Assist with the assembly of vessels or othersub-assemblies Maintain the necessary equipment to perform testing Observe and practice safety procedures and policies May be asked to work in other areas as company needs require Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Your Physical Work Environment Will Require… Frequent lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs. and occasionally heavier (50-60 lbs.) with assistance Frequent sitting, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, walking and occasional crawling Frequent pushing, pulling and handling of materials Occasional climbing and working at elevated positions Exposure to metal cutting, welding odors, welding flash and incidental acceptable limits of x-ray radiation Possible exposure to chemical odors and temperature extremes Exposure to overhead objects and occasional flying debris Required use of safety glasses with side shields, ANSI approved steel-toed safety shoes, hearing protection and hard hat Your Experience Should Be… Understanding and use of basic blueprints preferred Able to accurately read and use a tape measure Familiar and comfortable with hand and power tools Ability to use and understand various measuring devices Computer skills, familiar with navigating a web browser Readily takes action on challenges and with a "can do" attitude Identifies and seizes new opportunities Encourages the open expression of diverse ideas and opinions Attentively listens to others Admits mistakes and gains insights from experiences Willingness to ask questions to gain a better understanding Our Benefits Package… Compensation range: $21.69-$26.09/hour Night shift employees receive an additional $2.00/hour shift differential Paid Time Off (PTO) Medical, Dental and Vision insurance Employer contributions to an HSA account Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Company-paid short-term and long-term disability coverage Basic life insurance with the option to purchase supplemental individual, spouse and dependent child coverage Up to two weeks of paid family leave 401k retirement savings plan including a company match Chart Industries is an equal employment opportunity (EEO) employer and will not discriminate against any employee or applicants because of his or her race, color, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability, veteran status, military status, marital status, genetic information or any other reason prohibited by law.
