Project-based; weekday availability required, with increased opportunities during High Point Market seasons About the Role Johnny Davis Digital Solutions is looking for a dependable, hardworking Photography Studio Grip / Production Assistant to support our commercial photography and video productions in High Point, North Carolina. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who is interested in photography, video or commercial production and wants to learn by working alongside an experienced creative team. Previous studio experience is welcome, but it is not required. We are willing to train the right candidate. The immediate need is physical, hands-on studio support. A large portion of the work involves repeatedly lifting, carrying and safely moving furniture onto and off the studio sweep for commercial photography. Candidates must understand that this is an entry level position—the starting role is helping the production team work safely, efficiently and accurately. For someone who is reliable, takes direction well and shows a genuine interest in the work, there may be opportunities to learn more about lighting, equipment, studio operations and the commercial photography production process over time. Responsibilities Safely lift, carry and move furniture and other large products throughout the studio Move furniture onto and off the photography sweep for silo and product photography Make precise positioning adjustments under the direction of the photographer and production team Assist with studio setup, breakdown and resets between products or shots Help load and unload photography equipment, furniture and production materials Assist with basic grip equipment, lighting stands and other production gear after training Protect furniture, studio surfaces, equipment and client property from damage Document furniture placement or room conditions before moving items when directed Keep work areas clean, organized and ready for production Communicate clearly and follow instructions carefully Maintain a professional, respectful attitude on set What We're Looking For Physically capable of repeatedly lifting and moving heavy furniture safely, independently and as part of a team Dependable, punctual and ready to work Able to listen, communicate clearly and follow detailed directions Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding studio environment Careful and respectful when handling furniture, equipment and client property Willing to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday Able to work well with photographers, producers, stylists and other crew members Interested in learning commercial photography, video production or studio operations Available during weekdays and for project-based scheduling Reliable transportation to our High Point studio Experience Previous experience in photography, video production, furniture handling, moving, warehousing, staging, events, construction or other hands-on work is helpful, but not required. Attitude, reliability, physical capability and willingness to learn are more important than previous production experience.
