Ink Spot Printing

Large Format Print Production & Finishing Specialist

Job Description

We are a busy commercial print and sign shop looking for a dependable, hands-on Print Production & Finishing Specialist to manage our shop floor production. In this role, you will be the engine behind our daily output—taking approved digital files and turning them into high-quality physical prints, banners, decals, and signs. You do not need to do graphic design or sales. We are looking for someone who loves working with machinery, takes pride in clean finishing work, and thrives in an active, hands-on environment.
What You'll Be Doing:
Wide-Format Printing:
Load, calibrate, and operate eco-solvent wide-format printers ( Mutoh ValueJet 1641SR and Roland True
VIS VG2-540
).
Lamination:
Run roll-to-roll and sheet laminators ( Ally Armour and Royal Sovereign 30"/54" ) to finish prints cleanly with zero bubbles, wrinkles, or silvering.
Plotting & Cutting:
Set up and run precision vinyl cutting on our Graphtec FC9000 plotter. Hand-trim banners, rigid signs, and graphics with straight edges and utility blades.
Weeding & Assembly:
Weed cut vinyl, apply transfer tape, mount prints to substrates, and package jobs securely for client pickup.
Equipment Care:
Perform daily maintenance on printheads, keep machinery clean, and track substrate inventory.
What We're Looking For:
Experience:
1+ years operating wide-format printers, laminators, or plotters preferred (experience with Roland, Mutoh, or Graphtec is a major plus).
Precision & Detail:
A strong eye for clean edges, accurate measurements, and color matching.
Physical Capability:
Ability to lift roll media (up to 50-60 lbs) and stand/move throughout the workday.
Reliability:
Self-starter attitude—once you know the daily print queue, you can run with it independently.
Pay:
$16.00 - $24.00 per hour People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
Work Location:
In person
