JOB DESCRIPTION

The Manufacturing Assistant in Secondary Operations will be responsible for operating and running our trimming machines. You will be required to monitor parts as they are running and determine if parts are maintaining the required specifications per the drawings. You will be lifting, standing, bending throughout the day.

MUST BE ABLE TO

• Read blueprints and/or drawings
• Use measuring tools, ie: calipers, micrometers, rulers, etc.
• Be proficient in basic math skills, ie: fractions, decimals, conversion of the latter, add, subtract, multiply, divide. Knowledge of imperial and metric systems required.
• Familiarity with fasteners and connotations of such
• Inspect and record measurements
• Read, write, speak English

WILL BE REQUIRED TO

• Read and comply with work instructions for product specifications (dimensions, tolerances)
• Run trimming machines
• Observe operation of machines and verify conformance
• Sort parts when necessary
• Load machines as needed
• Report malfunctions, shortage and excessive tool usage
• Keep machines and work area clean
• Mopping area and machine cleaning
• Lift 50lbs

EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred
