Full-Time We are seeking a full-time manufacturing professional with direct experience in the wire and cable industry, specifically Type AC/BX and Type MC armored cable. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience manufacturing interlocked armored cable and knowledge of UL 4 and UL 1569 certification requirements. This person will help manage production, improve product quality, prepare UL samples and ensure our cable construction meets all testing and certification requirements.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and improve AC/MC armored cable production Guide operators on armoring-machine setup, tooling and proper interlock formation Prepare Type AC and Type MC cable samples for UL certification Review cable construction, materials and manufacturing specifications Help determine the proper aluminum armor alloy, temper, thickness and width Review conductor, grounding wire, bonding wire, binder paper and armor requirements Troubleshoot crush-test, impact-test, tension and other mechanical-test failures Coordinate preliminary laboratory testing before samples are submitted to UL Establish quality-control procedures for incoming materials and finished cable Train production employees on proper AC/MC cable manufacturing Ensure regular production matches the final UL-approved construction

Required Experience:

Direct experience in wire and cable manufacturing Hands-on experience with AC/BX or MC interlocked armored cable Knowledge of UL 4 and/or UL 1569 requirements Experience preparing UL certification samples or working with cable-testing laboratories Understanding of aluminum armor strip, interlock geometry, crush resistance and cable construction Ability to troubleshoot production and quality problems Experience supervising or training manufacturing employees is preferred Experience working for an AC/MC cable manufacturer, wire and cable testing laboratory or certification organization is strongly preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position at our manufacturing facility in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. Compensation will be based on the candidate's experience.
