Production Welder and Machine Operator

Job Description

Join a trusted partner of Vector Technical Inc. in Mentor, OH as a Production Welder and Machine Operator . This essential role supports daily manufacturing operations, ensuring quality and safety in a dynamic environment where your skills directly contribute to production success.
Shift:
1st (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday)
Pay:
Pay is dependent upon skills and experience
Responsibilities:
Operate manufacturing equipment including presses, shears, brakes, and saws Support assembly operations and move materials using forklifts and overhead cranes Package finished products for shipment and maintain a clean workspace Assist with equipment setup and perform minor maintenance Perform welding operations following blueprints, weld symbols, and measurements Weld components in various positions, inspect welds for quality, and monitor equipment Load and secure materials into robotic welding cells, operate robotic welders, and perform routine maintenance Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of welded parts Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate PPE to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required Welding certification from an accredited institution preferred 1-2 years of welding or manufacturing experience preferred Ability to interpret blueprints and weld symbols Experience with hand tools, measuring equipment, and basic machinery Valid driver's license Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 75 lbs. occasionally Experience operating forklifts, cranes, or robotic welding equipment is a plus
