CUSTOM APPAREL PRODUCTION & DESIGN ASSISTANT
The VYBE Vault is looking for a dependable, creative person to help produce custom T-shirts, sweatshirts and other apparel in our Uniontown, Ohio shop.
Job Type:
Part-timePay:
$18 per hour
Schedule:
Three consistent weekdays, approximately 9:00 AM-5:00
PMHours:
Approximately 24 hours per week
ABOUT THE POSITION
You do not need years of professional experience or a graphic-design degree. We are looking for someone who has a basic understanding of graphic design and art files, along with some type of T-shirt-making experience. Your experience could come from working at a print shop, making shirts at home, using a Cricut or heat press, creating DTF transfers, screen printing, DTG printing, sublimation, vinyl or a similar process. Training on our specific equipment and workflow will be provided.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Produce custom T-shirts, sweatshirts and other apparel
Prepare, resize and organize artwork for printing
Make basic changes to customer artwork when needed
Operate heat presses and other apparel-production equipment after training
Follow order sheets carefully, including garment styles, colors, sizes, quantities and print placement
Check completed apparel for print quality and accuracy
Fold, organize and package completed orders
Keep artwork, garments and production supplies organized
Perform routine equipment cleaning and keep the production area clean
Let management know immediately when an order, garment or artwork file has a problem
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is important to understand before applying: you will spend most of your shift working independently in a production room, making apparel and completing orders. Although other employees may be in the building, this is not a highly social or team-based position throughout the day. A large part of the job involves focused, repetitive, hands-on production work. This position could be a great fit if you enjoy working independently, listening to music or podcasts and getting into a steady production routine. If you prefer constant conversation, frequent activity or working directly beside other people all day, this position may not be the best fit for you.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Some experience making T-shirts or custom apparel in any setting
A basic understanding of graphic design, sizing and digital artwork
Familiarity with programs such as Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, Cricut Design Space or similar software
A willingness to learn about print-ready files, resolution, transparency and artwork placement
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow written order instructions
Dependability and the ability to stay productive while working independently
Comfort using computers and learning production equipment
Ability to stand for portions of the shift and lift boxes of garments or supplies A degree and extensive professional experience are not required.
We care most about finding someone who is dependable, creative, comfortable making shirts and willing to learn.
