Job Description
CUSTOM APPAREL PRODUCTION & DESIGN ASSISTANT
The VYBE Vault is looking for a dependable, creative person to help produce custom T-shirts, sweatshirts and other apparel in our Uniontown, Ohio shop.Job Type:

$18 per hourSchedule:
Three consistent weekdays, approximately 9:00 AM-5:00PMHours:
Approximately 24 hours per weekABOUT THE POSITION
You do not need years of professional experience or a graphic-design degree. We are looking for someone who has a basic understanding of graphic design and art files, along with some type of T-shirt-making experience. Your experience could come from working at a print shop, making shirts at home, using a Cricut or heat press, creating DTF transfers, screen printing, DTG printing, sublimation, vinyl or a similar process. Training on our specific equipment and workflow will be provided.WHAT YOU'LL DO
Produce custom T-shirts, sweatshirts and other apparel- Prepare, resize and organize artwork for printing
- Make basic changes to customer artwork when needed
- Operate heat presses and other apparel-production equipment after training
- Follow order sheets carefully, including garment styles, colors, sizes, quantities and print placement
- Check completed apparel for print quality and accuracy
- Fold, organize and package completed orders
- Keep artwork, garments and production supplies organized
- Perform routine equipment cleaning and keep the production area clean
- Let management know immediately when an order, garment or artwork file has a problem
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is important to understand before applying: you will spend most of your shift working independently in a production room, making apparel and completing orders. Although other employees may be in the building, this is not a highly social or team-based position throughout the day. A large part of the job involves focused, repetitive, hands-on production work. This position could be a great fit if you enjoy working independently, listening to music or podcasts and getting into a steady production routine. If you prefer constant conversation, frequent activity or working directly beside other people all day, this position may not be the best fit for you.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Some experience making T-shirts or custom apparel in any setting- A basic understanding of graphic design, sizing and digital artwork
- Familiarity with programs such as Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, Cricut Design Space or similar software
- A willingness to learn about print-ready files, resolution, transparency and artwork placement
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow written order instructions
- Dependability and the ability to stay productive while working independently
- Comfort using computers and learning production equipment
- Ability to stand for portions of the shift and lift boxes of garments or supplies A degree and extensive professional experience are not required.
