Lots of OT available! About the Position We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Brake Helper to join our manufacturing team. The Brake Helper works alongside our Brake Press Operators to assist with preparing, handling, and processing metal parts throughout the production process. This is a hands-on manufacturing position that is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, learning new skills, and being part of a team. Responsibilities Assist the Brake Press Operator with daily production activities Load, unload, and safely handle metal plate and fabricated parts Help position and stage materials for production Assist with measuring, inspecting, and organizing finished parts Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards Follow production instructions, work orders, and safety procedures Perform basic quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications Help label and move completed parts as needed Communicate with operators and supervisors regarding production needs or issues Learn and follow proper operation and safety procedures for manufacturing equipment Perform other production-related duties as needed Qualifications Manufacturing or metalworking experience is helpful but not required Ability to read and follow basic written and verbal instructions Ability to read a measuring tape down to a 1/16th. Strong attention to detail Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to work effectively as part of a team Willingness to learn and take direction Ability to work in a physical manufacturing environment Ability to regularly lift and move materials and parts Previous experience with sheet metal, brake presses, fabrication, or other manufacturing equipment is a plus Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to frequently bend, reach, lift, and carry materials Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment and materials
Pay:
$17.00 - $22.00 per hour
