We are seeking a hardworking individual with excellent time management and communication skills to fill the position of Production Lead & Batch Plant Operator at our Aurora, Oregon plant. In this Lead position, you will work closely with multiple departments to see that production is completed in a timely and efficiency manner, safety standards are followed, and that product meets quality expectations. Additionally, the Batch Plant Operator is a critical, skilled position that requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and being a self-starter. You are responsible for the operation of the aggregate dryer and related equipment, including the unloading of raw materials and the operation of a front-end loader. This individual must work closely with production management and maintenance personnel to meet production and cost objectives. Both self-motivation and the ability to work within a team are a must.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Establishing and maintaining an accident-free work environment that is in compliance with established company, OSHA, and EPA policies and requirements. Ensuring the production plan is executed and goals achieved by leading and working alongside other employees. Scheduling the drying of the various raw materials while also ensuring that inventory levels are sufficient to meet plant production requirements. Ensuring that raw materials are unloaded in a timely manner and put into the correct bin or silo for processing or storage. Operating the front-end loader as necessary Monitoring and reporting any machinery or equipment problems to maintenance personnel. Performing minor preventive maintenance duties in the dryer area, and on the front-end loader (greasing) Maintaining a clean and organized work area Follow all housekeeping and safety protocols. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school or equivalent required, additional education/experience preferred. Ability to read, write, perform basic math skills, conversions, and use of calculator. Prior leadership experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus. Experience operating a front-end loader or operating heavy machinery is desired. Comfort working with heights or enclosed spaces. Bi-lingual English/Spanish is a plus.
