Gun Drill Operator Job Description:

Leading global metals manufacturing and distribution company is looking for full-time Gun Drill Operator at a key service center location in Ellwood City, PA. Candidates should ideally have metal service center work experience with blueprint reading, programming, precision measuring, and quality inspection. We are looking for a self-motivated individual, possessing good communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work within a team. Key Functions:

• Machine setup and calibration
• Gun drill operation, including cutting parameters and coolant systems
• Measuring and inspecting drilled holes ensuring accuracy and quality
• Position and secure steel plates on machines, using holding devices, precision measuring and knowledge of metal properties and machining techniques
• Perform duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules and standards
• Maintenance and troubleshooting
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition

Requirements:

• Prefer 2 to 5+ years of experience in metal service center operations
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required
• Strong ability to work within a team
• Programming , CADD ,and blueprint reading
• Academic proficiency in math, reading comprehension, mechanical abilities
• Dependability and high motivation
