$26.10 per hour

Shift:

1st Shift | 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM We are seeking an Expediter II to support manufacturing operations in a defense production environment. This role is responsible for moving and staging materials, components, weldments, and fixtures throughout the shop to keep production running safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has manufacturing experience, is comfortable handling heavy materials, and can safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment. Key Responsibilities Move and stage materials, components, weldments, and fixtures throughout the manufacturing facility. Load and unload parts onto weld tables, fixtures, and production equipment. Operate forklifts, pallet lifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment. Review production paperwork and verify materials are ready for the next operation. Identify visible damage, discrepancies, or potential quality concerns and report them to the appropriate team. Coordinate material movement with welders, machinists, and production personnel. Maintain an organized work area and follow all safety procedures when handling heavy materials. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. At least 1 year of relevant experience. Forklift operating experience, with certification or qualification. Crane and rigging experience or qualification, or the ability to complete required training within two months of hire. Ability to safely move and position materials in a manufacturing environment. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to safety. Ability to work effectively with a production team. Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of manufacturing, material handling, or production support experience. Experience operating sit-down or stand-up forklifts, overhead cranes, pallet lifts, and rigging equipment. Background supporting welding, machining, or heavy industrial manufacturing.
