Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable General Shop Laborer to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will support daily production operations by performing a variety of manual tasks, operating equipment, and assisting with Painting processes. Your proactive attitude and attention to safety will help ensure smooth workflows, high-quality output, and a safe working environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop hands-on skills in manufacturing while contributing to efficient factory operations. Duties Assist with the setup, operation, and maintenance of painitng equipment, including forklifts and power tools Perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks to move materials, components, and finished products safely and efficiently Use measuring instruments and interpret technical drawings to support painting and quality control processes Support painitng activities by prepping, taping, looking for defects, using hand tools and mechanical knowledge Follow safety standards in production environments, adhering to safety protocols at all times Support process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting solutions Maintain accurate records of production activities, including interpreting manufacturing documents and tracking inventory Skills Experience operating forklifts and power tools in a factory or warehouse setting Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools effectively Familiarity with measuring instruments and interpreting technical drawings or technical documentation Prior experience in manufacturing facilities or assembly lines is highly desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and adhere strictly to safety standards in production environments Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and process improvement techniques Capable of managing manual handling tasks efficiently while maintaining safety compliance Excellent communication skills and collaborating with team members Warehouse experience is a plus, along with technical proficiency in industrial painting. Willing to train the right person but must have warehouse experience and an up to date resume. Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
