Daisy Cakes, Pauline, SC Daisy Cakes is looking for a dependable, hardworking Seasonal Bakery Prep & Production Assistant to join our production team. This position is ideal for someone with professional kitchen experience who enjoys hands-on work, staying organized, and being part of a fast-paced bakery environment. There may be an option to join the team permanantly after the holiday season. The Prep & Production Assistant will help keep our bakery organized, clean, stocked, and running efficiently. This is a hands-on position that will involve a variety of responsibilities throughout the day rather than repetitive work in one area. Responsibilities Prepare and portion ingredients for daily cake and bakery production Measure, weigh, chop, mix, and otherwise prepare ingredients according to established recipes and procedures Assist bakers and production staff with cake and icing production Organize and maintain the walk-in freezer, refrigerators, and dry storage areas Receive, put away, rotate, and organize ingredients and supplies Monitor inventory and communicate when ingredients or supplies are running low Maintain clean and organized work areas throughout the production day Wash and sanitize equipment, utensils, work surfaces, containers, and other kitchen items Assist with loading and unloading ingredients, supplies, and finished products Help with packaging and preparing products for shipment when needed Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures Assist with various bakery tasks as needed to keep production moving efficiently Perform other duties related to bakery production and facility organization Qualifications Minimum 1 year of professional kitchen or food-service experience required Previous bakery or pastry experience is preferred but not required ServSafe certification is preferred but not required Must be able to regularly lift and carry 50 pounds Must be comfortable standing, walking, bending, reaching, and working on your feet for most of the shift Must be dependable and consistently arrive on time Strong attention to cleanliness and organization Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and established procedures Ability to work independently while also working effectively as part of a team Must be comfortable working in refrigerated and freezer environments when needed Must be willing to perform a variety of tasks, including cleaning and other general bakery duties Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, stays busy without being constantly directed, and notices what needs to be done . The right person will be organized, dependable, efficient, and willing to jump between different tasks throughout the day. This is not a traditional line-cook position. The role supports the overall bakery operation, including ingredient preparation, production assistance, organization, sanitation, inventory, packaging, and general bakery support . Schedule Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-4:30 PM No regular weekend schedule is required for this position. However, you must be available to work the weekend before Thanksgiving and Christmas. Physical Requirements This position requires frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds , prolonged periods of standing and walking, and frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and moving supplies and equipment. Pay:

$15.00 - $17.50 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
