Rotary Operator - Temp to
Hire Location:
South Simpsonville, SC Pay Rate:
$21.27/hour - $23.60/hour 2nd and 3rd Shift Candidates Preferred Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Rotary Operator to join our manufacturing team in Simpsonville, SC. The Rotary Operator is responsible for the fabrication of ceramic capacitor screens and the operation of rotary manufacturing equipment within a cleanroom environment. This role supports production goals by performing machine operation, quality inspections, process monitoring, documentation, and material handling while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Key Responsibilities Operate up to two rotary manufacturing machines during assigned shifts while maintaining production and quality standards. Manufacture ceramic capacitor screens according to established work instructions and process specifications. Verify screen tension and perform quality checks throughout the manufacturing process. Complete required production documentation, including: Screen records Handling and storage labels Routing forms Design sheets Production forms Quality and process records Perform lamination processes, including monitoring temperature measurements, press setup times, and pressure settings. Utilize microscopes and precision inspection equipment to verify product quality and dimensional requirements.
Measure and evaluate:
Skew Pattern width Stack alignment Overlap Other critical quality characteristics Monitor and maintain ink weight control according to process specifications. Install screens and verify proper material selection, assembly setup, and measurements. Perform screen alignment, pad cutting, and skew adjustments as needed. Handle hazardous waste and reclaim materials in accordance with environmental and safety procedures. Maintain accurate production records and complete all required documentation. Ensure work areas, tools, and equipment remain clean and organized. Follow all established safety, quality, cleanroom, and operational procedures. Collaborate with supervisors, technicians, engineering staff, and team members to meet production objectives. Perform other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications Experience in ceramic capacitor manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, or precision production environments. Knowledge of lamination, screen fabrication, and rotary manufacturing processes. Familiarity with quality inspection tools and statistical process controls. Experience working within regulated manufacturing or cleanroom environments. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for more than 90% of the work shift. Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds regularly. Ability to perform repetitive motions involving hands, wrists, and arms. Ability to perform detailed visual inspections using microscopes and precision measuring equipment. Manual dexterity necessary to handle delicate materials and operate production equipment safely. Work Environment Manufacturing cleanroom environment. Frequent use of microscopes, inspection equipment, and rotary manufacturing machinery. Exposure to industrial chemicals, including adhesives, solvents, acetone, and related production materials. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required.
