Oh Grate! Production Team Lead Oh Grate! Company Overview Headquartered in Collierville, TN, Oh Grate! is a thoughtfully curated neighborhood market. Production Team Lead Position Overview The Production Team Lead is responsible for leading the production team through each day's production plan and ensuring scheduled work is completed correctly, efficiently, and on time. This is a hands-on leadership position. The Production Team Lead works alongside Production Associates while also providing direction, assigning priorities, monitoring progress, maintaining standards, and keeping the team productive throughout the shift. This role is for someone who naturally takes initiative, communicates clearly, works with urgency, and is comfortable directing and holding team members accountable.
Responsibilities:
  • Review and understand the daily production list and priorities before production begins.
  • Direct Production Associates and Seasonal Production Associates throughout the shift.
  • Assign daily tasks and clearly communicate production priorities.
  • Keep production moving efficiently and redirect team members as priorities change.
  • Work hands-on alongside the production team in food preparation, cooking, assembly, packaging, labeling, cleaning, and other production responsibilities.
  • Ensure team members remain productive throughout their shifts and understand what they should be working on next.
  • Monitor progress against the daily production list and identify when production is falling behind.
  • Adjust workflow and communicate concerns when production is not progressing as planned.
  • Ensure recipes, measurements, preparation methods, portioning, packaging, and labeling procedures are followed correctly.
  • Perform quality checks throughout production and address problems when identified.
  • Ensure finished products are properly packaged, labeled, stored, and organized.
  • Follow and reinforce established food-safety, sanitation, and HACCP procedures.
  • Ensure workstations remain clean and organized throughout production.
  • Assign and follow up on daily cleaning responsibilities.
  • Ensure dishes, equipment, utensils, and production areas are cleaned and returned to their proper locations.
  • Communicate ingredient, packaging, equipment, staffing, or production problems to the Production Manager promptly.
  • Identify problems, solve what can be solved within the role, and escalate issues requiring management.
  • Ensure assigned production and cleaning responsibilities are completed before the end of the production day.
  • Help train new Production Associates on established procedures and expectations.
  • Set the pace for the production team through urgency, teamwork, accuracy, and a willingness to work alongside the team.
Qualifications:
  • Dependable and punctual with consistent attendance.
  • Strong work ethic and sense of urgency.
  • Comfortable leading coworkers and giving clear direction.
  • Self-starter who notices what needs to be done and takes action.
  • Comfortable following up with team members and addressing missed expectations professionally.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to follow recipes, procedures, measurements, and written instructions precisely.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced food-production environment.
  • Able to prioritize multiple production needs throughout a shift.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to speak and read English fluently to follow recipes, formulas, manuals, and written instructions.
Pay:
From $16.00 per hour
