Full Job Description Job Title:

Kiln Operator Overview Summary Summit Staffing is seeking a dependable Kiln Operator to join a manufacturing team in a fast-paced production environment. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring kiln operations, maintaining production quality, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently throughout your shift. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a physically demanding environment with rotating schedules.

Contract-to-Hire Shift:

Night Shift (4:00 PM - 4:00 AM)

Schedule:

Rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Occasional call-ins on scheduled days off may be necessary.

Pay:

$15.50 Key Responsibilities Monitor kiln operations by observing computer systems that track temperatures, pressures, and production performance. Adjust and respond to operating conditions as needed to maintain quality and efficiency. Complete daily cleaning and housekeeping tasks according to established schedules. Record and maintain production data using Excel spreadsheets and company operating systems. Follow all safety procedures and report equipment or process concerns promptly. Perform routine inspections while walking throughout the production area. Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to support production goals. Skills & Experience Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred. Basic computer skills with the ability to monitor automated systems. Experience using Microsoft Excel for data entry and documentation. Ability to learn and utilize company software and production systems. Strong attention to detail and ability to remain focused during long shifts. Dependable attendance and flexibility to work rotating schedules. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift. Comfortable working in a hot manufacturing environment. Ability to safely perform physically demanding tasks while following all safety guidelines. Work Environment Fast-paced manufacturing facility with elevated temperatures. Night shift schedule with rotating weekends. Extended periods of standing, walking, and monitoring production equipment.
