Nexeo Staffing is hiring a motivated and dependable Production Assistant to support daily manufacturing operations. This role combines production coordination with hands-on shop floor support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys staying busy, solving problems, and jumping in wherever help is needed. You'll work closely with the Production Manager to monitor production progress, communicate with supervisors, and assist with assembly tasks to help keep operations running smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities Partner with the Production Manager to track daily production schedules and milestones.
Communicate regularly with production supervisors to gather status updates throughout the day.
Monitor production progress and identify delays, bottlenecks, constraints, or other challenges impacting schedules.
Report production updates and findings to the Production Manager in a timely manner.
Assist with assembly and production tasks as needed.
Use basic hand and power tools, including drills and screwdrivers, to complete assembly work.
Support multiple departments and production teams during busy periods.
Adapt quickly to changing priorities and assist wherever needed to keep operations moving efficiently.
Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on meeting production goals. Qualifications Ability to perform physical work and lift, carry, push, or pull materials as needed.
Comfortable working in a production or manufacturing environment.
Basic assembly experience and strong mechanical aptitude.
Experience using common hand and power tools, including drills and screwdrivers.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with supervisors and team members.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to identify, communicate, and help resolve production issues and delays.
Flexible, adaptable, and willing to shift between tasks throughout the day.
Team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic and willingness to support production goals.
Previous experience in production, manufacturing, assembly, operations, or production coordination preferred.
Preferred:
