Apple Tree Animal Clinic is looking for a full-time and/or part-time Associate Veterinarian to join our independently owned small-animal practice in Ranson, West Virginia. This is a growth position. We are looking to expand our availability for our clients, including later evening appointment hours and Saturday hours of approximately 4-6 hours. We are open to both full-time and part-time candidates and are willing to build a schedule around the right veterinarian. Why Apple Tree? We're privately owned — and plan to stay that way. Our staff is one of our greatest strengths. We have an efficient, motivated, experienced and genuinely caring team. They understand how important good support is to a veterinarian's day. Our goal is to keep the hospital moving efficiently while allowing our doctors to focus on their patients, their clients and practicing medicine. We work hard, but we also care deeply about the people and animals walking through our doors. Efficiency doesn't mean assembly-line medicine. We value efficient workflows and a well-run hospital, but we don't believe that should come at the expense of compassionate patient care. We want our veterinarians to have the ability to think through cases, discuss difficult patients, collaborate with one another and communicate well with clients. You don't have to practice exactly like someone else to fit here. We want you to practice good medicine, communicate well and care about the people and animals around you. The Opportunity We are looking for a veterinarian who enjoys the variety of general practice, including: Preventive and wellness medicine Sick and urgent-care appointments Internal medicine Dentistry Soft-tissue surgery Digital radiography Ultrasound In-house and reference laboratory diagnostics Chronic disease management Senior and quality-of-life care We are interested in speaking with experienced veterinarians as well as newer graduates who are looking for a supportive environment in which to continue developing their skills. Special interests are welcome, and we'd love to help the right veterinarian develop areas of medicine they particularly enjoy. Schedule One of the reasons we are hiring is to expand access for our clients rather than simply extending the workload of our existing team. Full-Time We are looking for a veterinarian interested in a regular weekday schedule that includes some later afternoon/evening availability and participation in our expanded Saturday schedule. Saturday hours are anticipated to be approximately 4-6 hours. Part-Time We're also very interested in veterinarians looking for: Fewer days per week Predictable part-time hours Afternoon/evening shifts Saturday hours Or a combination that works well for both the veterinarian and the practice If you've stepped away from full-time clinical practice but would enjoy getting back into medicine on a schedule that fits your life, we would especially love to talk.

Compensation Full-Time Starting Base:

$115,000 + 20% Production Our compensation model combines the security of a guaranteed base salary with the opportunity to earn significantly more through production.

Starting guaranteed base salary:

$115,000, with flexibility based upon experience Production compensation: 20% For perspective, a veterinarian producing $700,000 annually would earn approximately $140,000 in annual compensation, with additional earning potential as production grows. We want productive veterinarians to directly benefit from the medicine they practice and the caseload they build. Part-time compensation will be structured according to schedule and hours worked. Apple Tree Animal Clinic Ranson, West Virginia Requirements Requirements Applicants must: Hold a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school Be licensed, or eligible for licensure, to practice veterinary medicine in West Virginia Be eligible to obtain and maintain any required state and federal prescribing credentials Demonstrate strong clinical judgment and a commitment to high-quality, compassionate patient care Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, staff and colleagues Be comfortable working as part of a collaborative, team-oriented practice Be willing to contribute to some evening and Saturday coverage as part of our expanded schedule Maintain accurate, timely and complete medical records Practice with integrity, accountability and respect for both clients and coworkers Be motivated to develop and maintain a productive caseload while preserving appropriate standards of care Preferred, But Not Required Previous experience in small-animal general practice Confidence with routine soft-tissue surgery and dentistry Interest in developing additional clinical skills or special areas of interest Experience with ultrasound, dentistry, surgery, internal medicine or other general-practice procedures An interest in small-ruminant medicine is welcome, but absolutely not required Newer graduates are encouraged to apply.
