Administrative experience High school diploma or GED Computer skills Shipping documentation Full Job Description Flip Electronics is the innovation leader in the distribution of electronic components, serving Original Equipment Manufacturers, Original Component Manufacturers, and Electronic Manufacturing Services companies around the globe. We solve our customers' most difficult challenges by listening closely to their concerns and goals and delivering creative solutions. We earn long-term business through hard work, the utmost in service, the highest quality, and exceptional value for customers worldwide. We are a company of enthusiastic professionals who love to exceed every expectation and who cheer for our customers' success as much as our own. The Material Quality Control Inspector verifies that incoming, stored, and outgoing electronic components meet purchase-order requirements, manufacturer specifications, customer quality clauses, and the company's ISO 9001 and AS9120 quality system. The role is the primary control point for identity, authenticity, documentation, condition, handling, and traceability. The inspector decides whether material can be released to inventory, held pending further review, or quarantined as nonconforming or suspect/counterfeit product. This is not a manufacturing in-process inspection role. It is a distributor receiving, verification, preservation, and shipping-release role focused on chain of custody, documentation integrity, visual and physical inspection, ESD/MSL handling, shelf-life control, and counterfeit-risk detection.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certificate in electronics, quality, or a related field preferred. Experience 2-4 years of administrative or analytical experience in supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, production planning, or a related field. Key Responsibilities Incoming verification and product identification Receive and inspect incoming electronic components against the purchase order, packing list, customer requirements, and approved supplier documentation. Confirm part number, manufacturer, quantity, date code/lot code, country of origin, revision (when applicable), and packaging type match the order and accompanying documents. Verify Certificates of Conformance (C of C), manufacturer C of C when required, packing slips, test reports, and chain-of-custody records for completeness, consistency, and authenticity. Flag missing, incomplete, altered, or internally inconsistent paperwork and place the lot on hold before physical release.
Apply risk-based inspection intensity:
authorized/franchised source vs. independent/open-market source; customer-specified inspection vs. standard receiving inspection. Visual, physical, and packaging inspection Inspect outer and inner packaging for damage, moisture intrusion, resealing, mixed lots, incorrect labels, or evidence of prior handling. Verify ESD-protective packaging, moisture-barrier bags, humidity-indicator cards, desiccant, and MSL labeling for moisture-sensitive devices. Perform external visual inspection of devices and packaging markings for alignment with manufacturer format, date-code logic, logo quality, pin/lead condition, coplanarity, oxidation, contamination, and signs of remarking or resurfacing. Compare markings, body style, and packaging presentation across the lot for consistency. Count or sample-count quantities using defined sampling plans (for example
ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 / C
=0 when specified by procedure or customer). Photograph and record anomalies as required by procedure. Traceability, configuration, and records Maintain unbroken lot/batch traceability from supplier receipt through warehouse put-away and customer shipment. Ensure labels, travelers, inspection records, and ERP/WMS transactions stay linked to the same manufacturer lot/date code. Record inspection results in the quality system with accept, hold, or reject disposition. Preserve inspection records, C of Cs, photos, and related evidence for the retention period required by ISO 9001, AS9120, and customer contracts. Support splitting, kitting, and relabeling only when procedures preserve original identity and do not compromise authenticity or shelf-life data. Nonconforming, suspect, and counterfeit material control Identify damaged, incorrect, incomplete, expired, undocumented, or suspect material and immediately segregate it in a controlled quarantine area. Initiate nonconformance reports (NCRs), material review board (MRB) tickets, or suspect-counterfeit reports per procedure. Do not return suspect/counterfeit parts to the supply chain except under documented, approved disposition. Support investigation of suspect parts, including escalation for additional inspection or third-party testing (visual microscopy, XRF, X-ray, electrical test, marking permanency, or other methods defined by customer or company procedure). Support reporting of confirmed suspect/counterfeit events through approved channels (internal quality, customer, ERAI/GIDEP as directed). Preservation, storage, and outgoing inspection Verify warehouse storage conditions: ESD control, temperature/humidity, restricted access, first-in/first-out or date-code control, and shelf-life/expiration monitoring. Inspect material before shipment when required by procedure or customer quality clauses: identity, quantity, packaging, ESD/MSL protection, documentation package, and labeling. Confirm the shipping document matches the physical lot being shipped. Stop shipment if documentation, packaging, or product condition does not meet release criteria. Measurement, equipment, and process control Use approved inspection tools (microscopes, calipers, micrometers, scales, humidity-indicator interpretation, barcode/label verification tools, and other authorized equipment). Check that inspection and measurement equipment is within calibration and suitable for the task. Do not use overdue or damaged equipment. Follow documented work instructions, inspection plans, and sampling plans. Do not substitute informal judgment for procedure. Maintain a clean, controlled inspection area consistent with ESD and FOD (foreign object debris) requirements. Quality system support Work within the

documented information, competence, risk-based thinking, process approach, and evidence-based release. Support internal, customer, and third-party audits by producing inspection records, quarantine logs, calibration status, and process evidence. Participate in corrective and preventive action (CAPA), root-cause review, and supplier-quality feedback when inspection findings indicate a process or source problem. Recommend improvements to inspection criteria, receiving flow, labeling, and counterfeit-detection methods. Follow
