What is the Opportunity?\nQuality Control Inspector is responsible for examining products and materials for defects or deviations from specifications within the Aecon program. This position will report through the quality program.

\nThis position requires access to nuclear facilities and information governed by U.S. federal regulations. As a result, applicants must be U.S. citizens to meet eligibility and security clearance requirements.

What You'll Do Here:

Perform inspection on pressure boundary and non-pressure boundary components, assemblies and structural fabrications in accordance with the applicable code of construction and/or customer specifications.\nPerform dimensional inspections.\nPerform concrete inspections.\nReview Material Test Reports.\nPerform receiving inspections.\nPerform weld visual inspections.\nPerform positive material identification.\nPerform pressure test inspections.\nFollow and maintain Inspection and Test Plans or Travelers.\nVerify American Concrete Institute (ACI) codes and specifications.\nPerform internal weld monitoring as required.\nPerform source inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections.\nComplete all associated documentation, including quality control reports, sign-off on drawings, creation of as-built drawings, and related documentation.\nEstablish, implement, and maintain site quality programs.\nCoordinate with engineers, suppliers, subcontractors, regulatory representatives, and field personnel to ensure work is completed correctly.\nAssure work on-site meets applicable codes and specifications.\nDevelop and administer site-specific quality programs.\nConduct surveillance and audits of site contractor quality control programs.\nEstablish inspection plans and track inspections and identified actions.\nApprove site testing such as soils testing, concrete placement and grout breaks, hydro tests, and NDE testing, and verify tests are properly documented.\nReview and control documentation for the certification of construction and testing equipment.\nReview turnover packages prior to handoff to Startup.\nAssist in the coordination of punch list walkdowns and inspections; establish and manage punch lists.\nCollate quality control documentation for final handover to the Owner.\nInterface with clients and government officials.\nDevelop and implement quality programs that assist projects and divisions in meeting company and division quality goals and expectations.\nMay act as a quality consultant for internal and external clients.\nMay act as temporary project fill-in for lower-level quality professionals.\nProvide supervision, training, development, and performance management of direct reports.\nAct as a mentor to other quality professionals.\nImplement safety, quality, ethical standards, lessons learned, and adhere to performance management programs in accordance with division policies, standards, and guidelines.\nSupport continuous improvement efforts and change management initiatives associated with the implementation of improvements.\nParticipate in the development and maintenance of a cost of quality tracking system.\nTrack nonconformance reports and corrective/preventive action requests. Graduate secondary school education in welding technology, QA/QC, or a related discipline at the university or college level, or a minimum of 3 years of work experience in a QA/QC role.\nACI Certification and concrete experience would be an asset.\nLevel I Visual Weld Inspection or Level II Visual Weld Inspection certification.\nGood communication and organizational skills.\nComputer literacy in Microsoft Office.\nB&PV Code ASME Section I, B31.1, B31.3, and Section VIII Division 1 experience would be an asset.\nExperience with Nuclear and ASME Code Section III requirements would be an asset.\nAbility to pass a physical examination, lift 50 lbs., climb scaffolds and ladders, enter confined spaces, work at heights, wear a full-body harness, and wear a respirator and required personal protective equipment.\nMust be certified as
