This position is ideal for a hands-on leader who understands food safety, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and knows how to build a positive and accountable team. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily Quality Control operations across all shifts. Supervise QC employees and monitor product quality throughout the warehouse. Ensure products and processes meet internal standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulations. Prepare reports by collecting and analyzing information related to inspections, failed processes, recalls, corrective actions, and revalidations. Communicate professionally with clients by email and follow up on quality concerns. Manage inspection and product-release programs for incoming and in-process products. Monitor and support HACCP, GMP, food safety, and sanitation programs. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain required safety data and quality-control documentation. Review store orders to ensure accuracy and excellent customer service. Investigate customer complaints, discrepancy reports, and product-quality concerns. Schedule employees, assign daily responsibilities, and coordinate breaks and time-off requests. Coach employees, complete performance evaluations, and provide ongoing training. Partner with warehouse supervisors and associates to reinforce policies and procedures. Promote a safe, positive, and team-oriented work environment. Support productivity goals while maintaining strong quality standards. Complete additional responsibilities as assigned by warehouse leadership. Qualifications At least two years of quality assurance, production, or warehouse supervisory experience preferred. Food distribution or wholesale industry experience is strongly preferred. Working knowledge of SQF, HACCP, and GMP principles . Food-safety or quality-control certifications are preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage and motivate a diverse workforce. High level of computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and warehouse management systems. College-level coursework in management, food safety, quality assurance, or a related field is preferred but not required. Ability to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs. Physical and Work Requirements Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods. Ability to work in a distribution center with varying temperatures.
