We need a Quality Manager who continue building the system our next stage of growth runs on: someone who can take our existing SOPs and 21 CFR Part 111 program and turn them into a quality system that holds up at higher volume and stays inspection-ready every day. This is a hands-on, full-time, on-site role with real influence. You'll start as our sole quality lead and build a QA/QC team as volume grows. It's a strong next step for a QA specialist or supervisor who has worked on the floor and is ready to own quality. About Nutragem Nutragem is a contract manufacturer of dietary supplements, founded in 2024. We produce products for multiple brand clients under 21 CFR Part 111 cGMP, Organic, and Kosher and our client base is growing quickly. We're based in Emmett, Idaho today and will move to a new facility in the Nampa/Caldwell area in June 2027. You'll be part of that move, including getting quality systems ready in the new facility. We're small, owner-led, and growing. That means you'll work directly with ownership and have real authority over quality decisions — including the authority to stop a batch. About the role Our SOPs are already written; your job is to continue building the systems around them. Twelve months in, batch records will release on a predictable schedule, every raw material supplier will be qualified, and CAPA and complaint trends will reach ownership monthly. Quality will have moved cleanly into our Nampa/Caldwell facility, and your first QA/QC hire will be on board. You'll report to ownership.
The honest part:
you'll be hands-on. Some weeks that means reviewing records on the production floor and pulling reserve samples yourself, not just writing policy. What you'll do Build and own the quality management system around our existing SOPs under 21 CFR Part 111: document control, change control, deviations, CAPA, and quality metrics. Design quality processes that scale as we add clients, SKUs, and production volume. Plan quality's part of our June 2027 move to Nampa/Caldwell so the new facility starts up compliant. Review and approve master manufacturing records and batch production records, and make final release or reject decisions on finished product. Run supplier qualification for raw materials and packaging, including COA verification, identity testing, and component specifications. Manage third-party lab testing, sampling plans, specifications, and the reserve sample program. Host client audits and regulatory inspections, run internal audits, and close findings on schedule. Manage client quality agreements, customer complaints, and product investigations. Train production staff on cGMP, then hire and develop a QA/QC team as volume grows. What we're looking for Required 3+ years in QA or QC at an FDA-regulated manufacturing site (dietary supplements, food, or pharmaceuticals). Experience reviewing batch or production records under a cGMP program. Has written or revised SOPs and managed deviations and CAPA through to closure. Has hosted or supported an FDA inspection, client audit, or third-party certification audit. Able to work on-site full time in Emmett, Idaho, and at our Nampa/Caldwell facility after the June 2027 move. Preferred Experience working under 21 CFR Part 111, including product release decisions. Experience at a contract manufacturer serving multiple brand clients. Experience with encapsulation or powder blending operations. Experience with Eurofins GMP registration or a similar third-party certification Has supervised QA or QC staff. Degree in chemistry, biology, food science, or a related field.
