$30.00- $40.00/hr Contract to hire Quality Assurance Manager -Mount Prospect, IL Position Overview Seeking a Quality Assurance Manager / Engineer for our facility in Mount Prospect, IL. This individual serves as the management representative for all quality system issues, including
ISO 9001-2015.
The role is responsible for effectively implementing the Quality Management System (QMS) and reports directly to the President. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Establish, implement, and maintain necessary QMS processes. Report QMS performance and improvement needs to top management. Promote awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization. Maintain quality satisfaction through internal and external inspections. Create, review, approve, and remove quality system documentation. Qualify and disqualify suppliers based on quality performance. Monitor measuring devices, calibration records, and scheduling. Perform First Part/Article Inspections and approve/reject tooling. Organize and implement all internal audits per procedure. Maintain documented testing procedures to verify requirements are met. Process material returns, initiate corrective actions, and verify effectiveness. Address customer complaints and resolve technical problems. Prepare Certificates of Conformance and Certificates of Analysis. Organize and implement Annual Management Review Meetings. Assist the R&D department with testing supplier materials. Indirectly supervise and train employees on the QMS. Open and close the facility on a rotating basis. Education and Experience Equivalent to a four-year college or technical school. Alternatively, two to three years of specialized quality control experience. Requires 9 to 12 months to attain performance standards. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Synthesizes complex information and designs workflows. Identifies problems, analyzes data, and develops alternative solutions. Manages difficult customer situations and responds promptly to needs. Maintains confidentiality and listens without interrupting. Speaks clearly, persuasively, and demonstrates presentation skills. Writes clearly, informatively, and presents numerical data effectively. Prepares formal reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Applies common sense to written, oral, or diagrammed instructions. Handles problem-solving involving several concrete variables.
