Schaumburg, IL area Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Assistant Quality Manager to monitor quality levels across all operational areas to ensure compliance with company goals and objectives. In this role, you will support quality assurance and production personnel to achieve cost-effective manufacturing of consumer health and oral care products that consistently meet industry standards and customer requirements. You will also provide direct leadership and supervision to our QA Floor Inspectors and QA Receiving Inspectors.

Key Job Functions Team Leadership & Supervision:

Oversee QA Inspectors on the manufacturing floor (across all three shifts) and QA Receiving Inspectors handling purchased products, components, and raw materials. Manage time, attendance, annual performance reviews, and professional development plans.

Training & Compliance:

Create, maintain, and execute annual training plans. Train direct reports on applicable policies, standard operating procedures, standard test methods (STMs), AQLs, and environmental safety protocols.

Documentation & Database Management:

Create, revise, and maintain quality electronic records, standard operating procedures, work instructions, and databases (including Finished Goods Inspection, Purchased Products Inspection, NCRs, Deviations, and CODs).

Quality Control & Audits:

Monitor the Control of Non-Conforming product process, ensuring internal audit corrective actions are addressed, processed, and verified. Support the Internal Audit program by acting as an Auditor or Lead Auditor when needed.

Cross-Functional Support:

Assist departments in developing required documentation and procedures, and support Wet Manufacturing operations with resources and training as needed.

Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Education:

Bachelor's Degree in a Scientific discipline. Quality Assurance Certifications are strongly preferred.

Knowledge & Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance. Prior supervisory experience. Strong working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and proficiency in interpreting product specifications and part drawings. Experience with Access databases.

Skills & Abilities:

Proficient in MS Office applications, Adobe, database management, and enterprise software (e.g., PDXpert, Integrify). Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across diverse backgrounds and all levels of the organization.
