Job Summary
The Quality Supervisor leads frontline quality execution within a manufacturing facility operating under an
ISO 9001
quality management system and producing products certified to applicable industry standards such as UL, CSA, and/or ICEA. This role manages quality personnel responsible for inspection, testing, and laboratory activities, ensuring consistent application of quality processes, effective use of resources, and development of frontline quality capability to support production and prevent defect escapes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop frontline quality personnel supporting inspection, testing, and laboratory activities
Assign work and balance resources to support production needs and quality priorities
Ensure inspection, testing, and verification activities are executed consistently and in accordance with quality system requirements
Oversee measurement and test equipment in the quality laboratory, including calibration, maintenance, and suitability for use
Ensure proper execution of quality controls required to support applicable product standards
Direct response to quality issues through containment, investigation, escalation, and followâup
Review quality data and reports to identify trends, risks, and areas requiring attention
Ensure quality records, test results, and system entries are accurate, timely, and complete
Build technical and problemâsolving capability within the quality team through coaching and training
Support internal audits, external audits, and customer or certification body visitsPerforms other duties as assigned
Complies with all policies and standardsManages staff performance and development, coaching team members to achieve their full potential in contributing to the department's goals.
Required Education & Experience
Minimum Education Level:
High School DiplomaSpecialized Degree:
Bachelorâs degree in Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, or a related field preferred

5-7
