Quality Manager - Sheet Metal Manufacturing Sturbridge, MA Full-Time, temp to perm or possibly direct hire Starting at $25+/hour (Based on Experience) Savvy Staffing is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead quality initiatives, maintain compliance with industry standards, and support manufacturing excellence across all production operations.
Responsibilities:
Manage and continuously improve the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with
ISO 9001
2015 standards and customer requirements Lead quality inspections, including first article, in-process, and final inspections Review engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements to ensure product compliance Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) Manage internal audits and support customer and registrar audits Investigate customer quality concerns and drive resolution Partner with manufacturing teams to identify process improvements and reduce defects Develop and maintain quality procedures, documentation, and reports Train employees on quality standards, procedures, and best practices Promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in quality management or quality inspection within a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of
ISO 9001
2015 Quality Management Systems Experience with
AS9100, ISO
13485, or aerospace/medical manufacturing standards preferred Ability to interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles Experience with inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment Knowledge of corrective actions, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methods Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work collaboratively with production, engineering, and customers
Preferred Experience:
Sheet metal fabrication, welding, machining, or metal manufacturing background Experience supporting first article inspection reports (FAIR/AS9102) Experience leading audits and quality improvement initiatives
