GLO Resources is currently hiring a Quality Assurance Manager to work in Bay Springs, MS. The yearly salary is between $100k to $120k, depending on experience. The schedule is Monday - Friday, 6:45 am - 4:30 pm, with potential overtime as needed. Relocation assistance can be provided.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead the Quality Management System at an OEM facility, ensuring products consistently meet or exceed customer, regulatory, and industry standards. This role is responsible for developing quality strategies, managing quality personnel, driving continuous improvement, and serving as the primary quality liaison for customers and auditors.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and maintain the site Quality Management System to ensure ISO alignment, defect prevention, and strong process control. Manage core quality tools, including Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEAs, Control Plans, and Work Instructions. Identify process risks and implement preventive controls using risk-based thinking. Oversee the internal audit program, identify system issues, and drive effective corrective actions. Train and develop internal auditors to ensure consistent and effective audits. Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts to prevent recurring quality issues. Maintain QMS documentation and quality records, ensuring information is accurate, accessible, and standardized. Support process and product validation, including inspection methods and control plans. Represent the facility during ISO, 3 party, and customer audits. Oversee supplier quality activities and work closely with suppliers to address quality concerns. Manage QA personnel, including Level I, II, and III NDE inspectors. Develop quality performance reports and identify risks and opportunities for improvement. Partner with operations, plant leadership, and other departments to support continuous improvement initiatives. Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned product lines and provide guidance on quality standards and best practices. Stay current with industry trends, technology, and innovative quality solutions. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree preferred, an Associate Degree with relevant experience will be considered. Minimum 4 years of quality control experience within an APQP- style quality system. Minimum 4 years of
AS9100/ ISO
auditing experience. Minimum 4 years of experience developing technical procedures and documentation. Manufacturing or technical industry is required, automotive experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of welding, CNC, and cutting processes preferred. Experience managing or developing quality personnel is preferred. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and develop effective solutions. Self-motivated and comfortable working independently with responsibility and autonomy. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to think strategically while maintaining a hands-on approach to quality and process improvement. Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check.
Physical Requirements:
This position involves regular physical activity, including: Standing for prolonged periods. Frequent bending, kneeling, and crouching. Climb ladders as needed. Pushing and pulling heavy objects. Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
