Benaka Inc., a General Contracting Construction Company is looking for experienced Quality Control Manager for a federal government construction project. Please note that the selected candidate will be required to commute daily to the project site/work location, and will have to go through a Background Check to gain access to the federal government installation. Previous experience of working on a construction project for the Federal Government is a plus but not mandatory.

The salary range is $100,000.00
- $140,000 The following are some of the major responsibilities for the position.
- Gather, review submittals from the various subcontractors. Review for compliance with contract documents and issue it to the govt. for formal review and approval.
- Manage a project specific submittal register.
- Manage and coordinate three phases of control for all features of work as per USACE's Quality Control Program. Complete all associated report forms.
- Conduct Preparatory meetings and initial inspections on all definable features of work and all new work activities.
- Conduct and keep minutes of the QC/ Production Meeting.
- Observe and monitor daily field activities for compliance with the plans and specifications. Schedule/Perform field testing as required.
- Communicating with Owners/Govt. and architects/engineers in connection with field issues. Investigating and resolving such issues.
- Complete daily QC Reports for submission to the Owner and in house management.
- Write RFI's in coordination with Project Superintendent.
- Work closely with the Project Superintendent in coordinating the work on the project site.
- Oversee the entire construction quality process.
- Inspecting the work to ensure that it is in compliance with and conforms to the contract documents (Drawings and Specifications).
- Attend all job site meetings with the owners and sub-contractors.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook etc.
- Willingness of Travel depending on the location of the project.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
The CQC System Manager shall be a graduate engineer, graduate architect, or a graduate of construction management, with a minimum of 5 years construction experience on construction similar to this contract, or a construction person with a minimum of 10 years in related quality management work. Experience with DOD construction contracts on Federal Installation is a plus but not required; OSHA 30 Hour Certification; Proficiency with Web based interactive programs and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project) is required.
