Quality Control Supervisor Location:
Islandia, NY Schedule:
Full-time WCD Warehouse is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Control Supervisor to oversee our quality control operations and ensure products, inventory, and warehouse processes consistently meet company standards. Position Summary The Quality Control Supervisor will lead the day-to-day quality control activities within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy, consistency, safety, and compliance throughout receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping operations. This position will supervise QC team members, identify and resolve quality issues, and work closely with warehouse leadership and operations teams to improve processes and reduce errors. Key Responsibilities Supervise, train, and provide direction to Quality Control team members. Oversee daily quality inspections and warehouse quality-control activities. Inspect incoming, stored, and outgoing products for accuracy, condition, labeling, and compliance with company standards. Monitor orders, inventory, picking, packing, and shipping processes for errors or discrepancies. Identify quality issues and coordinate corrective actions with warehouse and operations teams. Investigate recurring quality problems and determine root causes. Maintain accurate records of inspections, discrepancies, damages, and corrective actions. Conduct routine audits of inventory and warehouse processes. Track quality metrics and communicate trends, issues, and improvement opportunities to management. Ensure employees follow established SOPs, safety procedures, and quality standards. Assist with developing and improving quality-control procedures and processes. Coach employees on proper procedures and quality expectations. Work collaboratively with Receiving, Shipping, Inventory, and Warehouse Operations. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Perform other duties as assigned by warehouse management. Qualifications Previous experience in quality control, warehouse operations, inventory, logistics, or a related field. Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to identify problems and implement effective solutions. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently while effectively leading a team. Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Basic computer skills and ability to work with inventory or warehouse management systems. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and work on the warehouse floor for extended periods. Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of warehouse, quality-control, or logistics experience. Experience supervising or training warehouse employees. Experience with inventory management or warehouse management systems. Experience conducting audits, inspections, or cycle counts. Knowledge of warehouse safety and quality-control procedures. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who takes pride in accuracy, accountability, and operational excellence . Pay:
$66,300.00 - $70,000.00 per year
