2989446569-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Consolidated Precision Products is seeking a Quality Manager to lead plant quality operations in our advanced aerospace manufacturing environment. This role oversees the quality management system, ensuring compliance with
AS9100/ISO
standards and customer requirements for complex castings and precision machining. The Quality Manager will lead a team of quality engineers and inspectors, drive root cause analysis and corrective actions, support PPAP and first article approvals, and partner with operations, engineering, and customers to reduce defects and scrap. This role champions safety, data-driven problem solving, and continuous improvement across the plant. Responsibilities Lead and maintain the plant quality management system to AS9100/ISO and customer requirements. Manage and develop quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians. Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions to reduce defects, scrap, and rework. Oversee inspection, testing, and documentation for castings and precision machined components. Support PPAP, first article approvals, and customer quality submissions. Monitor quality metrics, analyze trends, and report performance to leadership. Conduct internal and supplier audits and follow up on corrective actions. Collaborate with operations and engineering on process capability and control plans. Champion safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives across the site. Interface with customers on quality issues, requirements, and improvement projects. Required Skills Quality management systems (AS9100/ISO 9001) Root cause analysis and corrective action (8 D, 5-Why) Statistical process control (SPC) Advanced quality planning (APQP, PPAP) Reading and interpreting engineering drawings/blueprints Gauge R&R and measurement systems analysis (MSA) Nonconformance reporting and disposition Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement Internal and supplier auditing Use of quality tools (Pareto, FMEA, control plans)
