Full Job Description SCOPE:
The Quality Manager will lead, develop, and maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS) while championing continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization. This position partners cross-functionally with operations, engineering, purchasing, and suppliers to ensure compliance, performance excellence, and customer satisfaction.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technology, or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE/ REQUIREMENTS
7+ years of relevant quality experience in a manufacturing environment 2-3 years of supervisory experience preferred
Technical Expertise:
Strong knowledge of ISO9000 requirements and QMS implementation In-depth understanding of inspection techniques and instrumentation
JOB FUNCTIONS
Quality Systems & Compliance Lead and maintain ISO9000-compliant Quality Management Systems including controlled documentation and internal auditing program Manage and improve a closed-loop Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) system with emphasis on trend analysis and a strong focus on driving root cause analysis Ensure inspection processes comply with internal quality standards Oversee calibration of all test and measurement equipment Champion quality improvement initiatives across departments Drive process re-engineering efforts to improve product and order realization Supplier Quality Assess supplier product specifications and quality plans Establish supplier quality performance criteria and monitor performance Supervise supplier audit programs Collaborate with purchasing to improve supplier quality metrics Reject nonconforming materials and act as liaison to facilitate supplier communication, mutual understanding and correction/prevention. Inspection & Technical Oversight Utilize analytical methods to target and prioritize incoming inspection efforts Verify quality of production materials and final product prior to shipment
• Ensure proper application of metrology principles and inspection instruments Leadership & Performance Management Supervise and develop direct reports Establish and track departmental performance metrics
