About the Role We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Coordinator to lead quality systems and people across two die casting plants. In this hands-on leadership role, you will: Ensure consistent product quality Drive continuous improvement Directly supervise quality employees at both facilities If you enjoy solving quality challenges in die casting and want multi-site responsibility, this role is for you. Key Responsibilities Lead and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) at both plants Supervise, coach, and develop quality technicians and inspectors Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspection of die-cast parts Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone) Track and improve key metrics (scrap, PPM, first-pass yield, customer complaints) Coordinate internal, customer, and third-party audits Partner with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues Maintain control plans, FMEAs, SPC, MSA, and inspection methods Support new product launches and
PPAP/APQP
activities Build a strong culture of quality on the shop floor Requirements Must Have 5+ years of quality experience in manufacturing (die casting, foundry, or metal forming preferred) Prior experience supervising quality personnel Familiarity with
ISO 9001 / IATF
16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and MSA Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to travel regularly between the two plants Nice to Have ASQ certifications (CQE, CQA) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt Knowledge of die casting processes and common defects Lean manufacturing background Experience with CMM Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary: $60,000 - $80,000 Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off (vacation, holidays) Life insurance + short- and long-term disability Tuition reimbursement and professional development support Work Environment This is an on-site role. You will spend time on the production floor at both plants. The environment includes heat, noise, and molten metal processes (PPE provided). Regular travel between the two facilities is required.
